Remind Me, Dear Lord

Words and music: Dottie Rambo © 1968 John T. Benson Publishing (ASCAP - Adm. by Brentwood-Benson Music Pub. Inc.)
This song also appeared on Just Like the Old Days by The Vocal Union and as "Remind Me" on New Life Presents: Acapella by New Life (TN).
Lead: None
Spoken Vocal: C.D. Davis

Lyrics:

The things that I love and hold dear to my heart
Are just borrowed they're not mine at all
Jesus only let me use them to brighten my life
So remind me, remind me dear Lord

Chorus:
Roll back the curtain of memory now and then
Show me where you brought me from and where I could have been
Remember I'm human and humans forget
So remind me, remind me dear Lord

Spoken Vocal:
Oh Lord, we want to thank you for our sweet wives, Lucille, Marilyn, Betty, and Sandy and the wonderful way that they bless our lives.  And those precious children you've given us, how we love them.  Yet, we know Father that this love doesn't even begin to compare with the love you showed us in giving Christ.  And Lord, we know that we don't deserve this, that we're not worthy of it.  So Lord, please keep reminding us of who we are and how much we are really loved.

Nothing good have I done to deserve God's own son
I'm not worthy of the scars in His hands
Yet He chose the road to Calvary to die in my stead
Why He loved me I can't understand

Repeat Chorus

So remind me, remind me dear Lord

Scriptural Reference:

"All this I have spoken while still with you.  But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you."  John 14:25-26

Water in the Plan

Words and music: Keith Lancaster (1982)
This song also appeared on Signature Songs by The Sounds of Glory and as "There's Water in the Plan" on A Very Special Time by Keith Lancaster.
Lead: None

Lyrics:

Chorus:
I know there's water (yes, there's water)
In the plan (water in the plan)
Oh yes, there's water (yes, there's water)
In the plan (water in the plan)
If you listen to the Bible (in the Bible)
And not to man (and not to man)
You'll clearly understand (in order to be forgiven)
If you want to be forgiven (be forgiven)
No, not a work (no, not a work)
It's not an option (not an option)
That you can shirk (that you can shirk)
Oh well there's water (yes, there's water)
I know there's water (yes, there's water)
Oh , there's water in the plan

On the birthday of the kingdom as we read it in the Bible in Acts 2:38
Peter told the people that they had to be forgiven before it was too late
Because the birth of the Messiah they had ushered to be hastened and there they crucified
The one and only Savior they stood and watched Him die (on the cross of Calvary)
Some tender hearts were open and then they started to believe in just what Peter said
Jesus had been right so they had to make a point to see the Son of God was dead
But the grave it wouldn't hold Him, 'cause the rock had been a rollin' and He came forth from grave
The Prince of Peace that God had sent to save

Repeat Chorus

Nicodemus came to Jesus and was told it was essential that he had to be born again
Of the water and the spirit, yes He made it very clear that there was water in the plan
And the last and final mission, just before His great ascension He mentioned it once more
Tellin' them to teach it and do it in all the world (how to make disciples)
Even Paul the great apostle had to write of its importance 'cause his sins had been washed away
Though he was a persecutin' and Ananias came unto him and he was born again that day
So if you want to put on Jesus and be in His saving body well there is no other route
The word of God has spelled it clearly out

Bridge:
Though men may teach against it and provide another plan
Many roads are offerred by the world
But God needs no improvement by a weak and feeble man
The Lord's way is the best I've ever heard

Repeat Chorus

I know there's water in the plan

Scriptural Reference:

"Peter replied, 'Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.'"  Acts 2:38
"'Can anyone keep these people from being baptized with water? They have received the Holy Spirit just as we have.'  So he ordered that they be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked Peter to stay with them for a few days."  Acts 10:47-48

What a Day That Will Be

Words and music: James Hill © 1955,1983 Ben Speer Music (Adm. by ICG)
Lead: C.D. Davis

Lyrics:

There is coming a day
When no heartache shall come
No more clouds in the sky
No more tears to dim the eye
All is peace forever more
On that happy golden shore
What a day, glorious day
That will be

Chorus:
What a day, that will be
When my Jesus, I shall see
And I look upon His face
The one who saved me by His grace
When He takes me by the hand
And leads me through the Promise Land
What a day, glorious day
That will be

There'll be no sorrow there
No more burdens to bear
No more sickness nor pain
No more parting over there
And forever I will be
With the One, who died for me
What a day, glorious day
That will be

Repeat Chorus

(That will be)

Scriptural Reference:

"In that day the Branch of the Lord will be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the land will be the pride and glory of the survivors in Israel."  Isaiah 4:2
"The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord."  Acts 2:20

Atom Bomb

Words and music:
This song also appeared on Made in His Image by His Image.
Lead: None

Lyrics:

Chorus:
Well, everybody's worried about that atom bomb
Well, but no one seems worried about the day my Lord shall come
You'd better set your house in order ('cause He) He may be coming soon
And He'll hit like an atom bomb when He comes, when He comes

Repeat Chorus

Well, in nineteen hundred and forty-five, the atom bomb became alive
In nineteen hundred and forty-nine, the U.S.A. became very wise
Found that a country across the line had an atom bomb of the very same kind
People got worried all over the land, just like the people over in Japan
God told Elijah He would send down fire, send down fire from the sky
He showed on over the rainbow side, "It won't be water, but fire next time"

Repeat Chorus

Well, don't be worried, just bear in mind
Trust in Jesus, He's on time
With peace, happiness, and joy divine
With my Savior on the line
God told Elijah He would send down fire, send down fire from the sky
He showed on over the rainbow side, "Won't be water, but fire next time"

Repeat Chorus

Well, everybody's worried about that atom bomb
Well, but no one seems worried about the day my Lord shall come
You'd better set your house in order ('cause He) He may be coming soon
And He'll (hit) hey, hey, hear my Lord you know
Well, He's gonna hit like an atom bomb when He comes, when He comes

Scriptural Reference:

"But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare."  2 Peter 3:10

Here among the shadows

(Now we pray thee quickly come) Come oh Holy Spirit (Sprit, come oh Spirit)
(Come oh, come on thee we call) All our hopes renew (all our hopes renew)

Where No One Stands Alone

Words and music: Mosie Lister © 1955
This song also appeared on Favorite Hymns of the Firemen by The Firemen.
Lead: None

Lyrics:

Once I stood in the night with my head bowed low
In the darkness as black as could be
And my heart felt alone and I cried, "O Lord
Don't hide Your face from me"

Chorus:
Hold my hand all the way every hour every day
From here to the great unknown
Take my hand; let me stand
Where no one stands alone

Like a king I may live in a palace so tall
With great riches to call my own
But I don't know a thing in this whole wide world
That's worse than being alone

Repeat Chorus

Scriptural Reference:

"But if I do judge, my decisions are right, because I am not alone. I stand with the Father, who sent me."  John 8:16

Lead: None
Spoken Vocal: C.D. Davis

Lyrics:

We're part of the family, that's been born again
Part of the family, whose love knows no end
For Jesus has saved us, and made us His own
Now were part of the family, that's on it's way home

Chorus:
And sometimes we laugh together
Sometimes we cry
Sometimes we share together
Heartaches and sighs
Sometimes we dream together
Of how it will be
When we all get to heaven, God's family

Verse with Spoken Vocal:
And tho some go before us...
Yes, it will be homecoming time.  A time when we will all meet again.
Just inside the city...
That's right, they'll be waiting for us when we arrive in that heavenly city, just as we enter in.
There'll be no more parting...
It's together forever with all our loved ones.  But not just our loved ones, we'll also be forever with Jesus.
Together forever, God's family

Repeat Chorus

When we all get to heaven...
Eternity with God's wonderful family

Scriptural Reference:

"However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name.  For it is time for judgment to begin with the family of God; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God?"  1 Peter 4:16-17
