Words and music: Bob Allsup © 1992
Lead: Bob Allsup

Lyrics:

Ooh... Take His hand
Ooh... Take His hand
Ooh... Take His hand
Ooh... Take His hand

If you want some company
And a little honesty
Maybe some love is what
Yeah love is what you need
Perhaps you want some peace of mind
That will last for ever or a long long time
Put it all together and Jesus is what you will find
Oh yeah, He's what you will find

Chorus:
All you have to do is say you wanna go
To the living water where the river flows
Take the hand of Jesus, He's the recipe
Tell Him that you're thirsty and you'd like to drink
Take the hand of Jesus
Take His hand
Take the hand of Jesus
To the promised land
Take the hand of Jesus
Where you want to go
Take the hand of Jesus
Together you will stand

Take the hand of Jesus
Take His hand (to the promised land)
Take the hand of Jesus
Take His hand
Join us now for some happiness
You don't have to pay the price, just take the test
Say that you believe in Jesus and give yourself a rest
Oh yeah, just give yourself a rest

Repeat Chorus

I don't have to tell you 'bout the story of old
How their trust was tested and the faith of Job
If you can feel and believe it you'll walk the streets of gold
Oh yeah, you'll walk the streets of gold

Repeat Chorus

Take the hand of Jesus
Take His hand (to the promised land)
Take the hand of Jesus
Take His hand

Ooh... Take His hand
Ooh... Take His hand
Ooh... Take His hand (take it)
Ooh... Take His hand

Take His hand

Scriptural Reference:

"But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him to his feet, and he stood up."  Mark 9:27

Philip's Song

Words and music: Kevin Percival © 1992
Lead: Gary Ferguson

Lyrics:

Philip went out from Jerusalem
He was looking for a soul to heal
He was Spirit led and the angel said
Go and find the one that God will reveal
So he headed for a place called Gaza
Don't you know it was a desert road
There's a eunuch there with his Chariot's fare
Wonderin' who will tell him what he should know
He was readin' from the prophets of old

Chorus:
Don't you know
That His coming was foretold
Can't you see
That He came for you and for me
He was led like a sheep to the slaughter
He was silent at the hand of the shear
They deprived Him any measure of justice
And His life was taken from the Earth

You know Philip went up to the Chariot
And he said do you know what you read
Tell me how can I was the Eunuch's reply
Unless someone will explain it to me
Tell me who does the prophet speak of
Is it him or is it some other one
Philip started with that, he told him where it was at
As he told him of the news of God's son
Philip told him that the Saviour had come

Repeat Chorus

As they traveled a little farther
They saw water by the side of the road
There is water here and you've made it clear
What I need to do to put on the Lord
So the two of them went down in the water
For the cleansing of the eunuch's sin
Philip's day was made, the spirit took him away
And the eunuch never saw him again
He was singing hallelujah Amen

Repeat Chorus

Don't you know
That His coming was foretold
Can't you see
That He came for you and for me
And don't you know
Can't you see
Don't you know
That He came for you and for me

Scriptural Reference:

"Now an angel of the Lord said to Philip, 'Go south to the road--the desert road--that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.'  So he started out, and on his way he met an Ethiopian eunuch, an important official in charge of all the treasury of Candace, queen of the Ethiopians.  This man had gone to Jerusalem to worship, and on his way home was sitting in his chariot reading the book of Isaiah the prophet.  The Spirit told Philip, 'Go to that chariot and stay near it.'  Then Philip ran up to the chariot and heard the man reading Isaiah the prophet. 'Do you understand what you are reading?' Philip asked.  'How can I,' he said, 'unless someone explains it to me?' So he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.  The eunuch was reading this passage of Scripture: 'He was led like a sheep to the slaughter, and as a lamb before the shearer is silent, so he did not open his mouth.   In his humiliation he was deprived of justice.  Who can speak of his descendants? For his life was taken from the earth.'  The eunuch asked Philip, 'Tell me, please, who is the prophet talking about, himself or someone else?'  Then Philip began with that very passage of Scripture and told him the good news about Jesus.  As they traveled along the road, they came to some water and the eunuch said, 'Look, here is water. Why shouldn't I be baptized?'   Philip said, 'If you believe with all your heart, you may.'  The eunuch answered, 'I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.'  And he gave orders to stop the chariot.  Then both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water and Philip baptized him.  When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord suddenly took Philip away, and the eunuch did not see him again, but went on his way rejoicing."  Acts 8:26-39 (quote from Isaiah 53:7-8)

Is it Me Lord (Am I the One)

Words and music: Kevin Percival © 1992
Lead: Bob Allsup

Lyrics:

Chorus 1:
Is it me Lord
Tell me am I the one
Is it me Lord
Losing sight of the Son
Just as Judas betrayed
From the Saviour I've strayed
Is it me Lord
Am I the one

As they gathered round the Savior at the table
And He told of many things that were to pass
Not a single disciple would deny Him
They would all remain beside Him to the last
Then He told them there was one who would betray Him
In astonishment they did not understand
Who among them could reject their Saviour
Who amonth them would refuse the Man

Now I ask you again
Just as they asked Him then

Chorus 2:
Is it me Lord (is it me Lord)
Tell me am I the one
Is it me Lord (is it me Lord)
Losing sight of the Son
Just as Judas betrayed
From the Saviour I've strayed
Is it me Lord
Am I the one

In the garden they arrested the Messiah
Just a kiss upon the cheek gave Him away
Then one of His disciples tried to stop them
While the others all stood by in their dismay
At the distance he was following behind them
Peter said that he would never fail the Lord
Even though he'd said three time he didn't know this Jesus
With a broken heart he heard the rooster crow

Now I ask you again
Just as they asked Him then

Repeat Chorus 2

Now I ask myself am I
The one (am I the one)

Scriptural Reference:

"And while they were eating, he said, 'I tell you the truth, one of you will betray me.'  They were very sad and began to say to him one after the other, 'Surely not I, Lord?'"  Matthew 26:21-22
"Now the betrayer had arranged a signal with them: 'The one I kiss is the man; arrest him.'  Going at once to Jesus, Judas said, 'Greetings, Rabbi!' and kissed him.  Jesus replied, 'Friend, do what you came for.'  Then the men stepped forward, seized Jesus and arrested him. With that, one of Jesus' companions reached for his sword, drew it out and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear."  Matthew 26:48-51
"Immediately a rooster crowed. Then Peter remembered the word Jesus had spoken: 'Before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times.' And he went outside and wept bitterly."  Matthew 26:75

Read the Writings

Words and music: Bob Allsup © 1992
Lead: Gary Ferguson

Lyrics:

How can you reach somebody
When you can't even find yourself
How can you teach anybody
With your Bible still put up on the shelf
Listen to the Spirit's call, read the writings on the wall

Chorus:
What will He say on the judgement day
Will He turn His back and just walk away
My God, my God what have I done
Can I go back and a maybe save someone
It's too late cried out the Lord
For you man Hell's the only open door
A lukewarm Christian is what I hate
Don't cry for me you know it's too late (it's too late)

A friend at work asked me yesterday
I heard that you could show us the way
But I couldn't think of one thing to say
So I turned my back and just walked away
Listen to the sinner's call, read the writings on the wall

Repeat Chorus

I only wish that they would leave me alone
Stop calling me I'll hang up the phone
Don't they know I'm busy I don't have the time
I'm always out working trying to make a dime

2...3...4..
How can you reach somebody
When you can't even find yourself
How can you teach anybody
With your Bible still put up on the shelf
Listen to the Spirits call read the writings on the wall

Don't Hesitate

Words and music: Bob Allsup © 1992
Lead: Gary Ferguson

Lyrics:

If you really want to feel this way
Talk to Jesus you know everyday
You know He is a friend of mine
He's been known to even heal the blind
Just trust in Him some people say
But I know He is the only way

Chorus:
Don't hesitate (hesitate, hesitate)
The day is today
Don't be afraid (don't be afraid)
Of a little change (just a little change)
Just have some faith (have some faith, have some faith)
Don't hesitate

Why don't you give your heart to Jesus now
One day you may even wear a crown
You know we're looking for that one fine day
When we all may hear Him say
Welcome home my child come on in
Once you are forgiven of your sin

Repeat Chorus

Reach out and touch the man who died for you
Then every thing will come into view
God is alive I know you've heard it before
But if you feel Him, you know for sure
Come on and walk into the watery grave
You know immersion is the only way

What are you waiting for?

Repeat Chorus

Just have some faith (have some faith, have some faith)
Don't hesitate

Scriptural Reference:

"For I have not hesitated to proclaim to you the whole will of God."  Acts 20:27

Walking the Way

Words and music: Kevin Percival © 1992
Lead: Dave McPeak

Lyrics:

I'm seein' the power of the Lord each and every day
Praising the Saviour as I go on my way
Bought by the blood of Jesus Christ now I say
I'm gonna walk the way that's straight

Chorus:
Following the path that's straight and narrow
Is a much better place to be
Out of a life of sin and doubt
Full of pain and misery
I heard the voice of Jesus say
Why don't you come unto me
Now I have the peace He promised there would be

Na na na na (etc... interlude)

I'm walking the path that Jesus said everyone should take
Following Him with every step that I make
Keeping in mind the one who died for my sake
I'm gonna walk the way that's straight

Repeat Chorus

Na na na na (etc... interlude) (x2)

Scriptural Reference:

"I guide you in the way of wisdom and lead you along straight paths."  Proverbs 4:11

The Man on the Mountain

Words and music: Gary Ferguson © 1992
Lead: Dave McPeak

Lyrics:

Jesus journeyed through the land
Throughout all Galilee
Healing hearts and souls of people
Just like you and me
From town to town the glory
Of the Father He did share
And news of the Messiah
Quickly spread everywhere
Upon a mountain Jesus stood
And He began to speak
Blessed are the poor in spirit
Blessed are the meek
If you must walk a mile by law
Then walk one more in love
And seek first the Kingdom
Now at hand and from above

Chorus:
Oh listen to the Man on the mountain
From your heart (from your heart) let His love flow like a fountain
As He spoke to His disciples, He speaks to us today
Oh listen to the Man on the mountain

Let your light shine around you
For all the world to see
And where your heart is
So will your treasures be
Do not worry 'bout tomorrow
Or what the day may bring
See the flowers blooming
Hear the birds as they sing

Repeat Chorus

Won't you listen to the man on the mountain

Scriptural Reference:

"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."  Matthew 5:3
"Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth."  Matthew 5:5
"If someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles."  Matthew 5:41

Talk to Me

Words and music: Bob Allsup © 1992
Lead: Bob Allsup

Lyrics:

Why don't you hear me Jesus my life seems such a mess
I'm sitting here all alone I can't put my mind to rest
I'm drownin' in my sorrow and the end I just can't see
Yeah, listen closely Father, won't you please talk to me

If you could only speak out loud, what would you say to me?
Maybe like you did for Paul, could you make my eyes to see
All the good that I am though I refuse to be
Yeah, listen closely Father, won't you please talk to me

You say that you're so lonely how your life is such a mess
Though I gave my only Son for you to die a terrible death
Stop drowning in your sorrow you say you want to be
Then forget your pride and self pity and talk (talk) to (to) me

I just can't forget now how I've always been the one
To think of my own feelings instead of God's only Son
I'm never lookin' back now I'm falling on my knees
Yeah, listen closely Father, won't you please talk to me

I hear you now my blessed child, I've been waiting patiently
Take my hand and follow me to eternity (to eternity)
When you fall I'll pick you up just don't forget that tree
Where I died so you can talk to me

Talk to me (talk to me)

Scriptural Reference:

"I know that his command leads to eternal life. So whatever I say is just what the Father has told me to say."  John 12:50

Simon's Lament

Words and music: Kevin Percival © 1992
Lead: Dave McPeak

Lyrics:

Simon was a man with a sorcerer's hand
All the people came to see him from Samaria's land, land
With his mystic eyes he would hypnotize
And the people never knew that he was tellin' 'em lies, lies
Then apostles came around, they were all over town
Preachin' Jesus is the only way
Many people believed, even Simon perceived
But he didn't hear the preacher say

Chorus:
You can't buy the power with the money in hand
That was never part of the Master's plan
Not for selfish reasons of the mortal man
You can't buy the power with the money in hand

Simon saw the men that the Spirit was in
And he knew he had to have it, it was covetous sin, sin
When he asked to buy, Peter gave the reply
That his money was a problem, gonna cause him to die, die
When he told him repent it was Simon's lament
For ever having such a though in his heart
If he lost the greed he would surely succeed
But he couldn't find a place to start

Repeat Chorus

The Bible tells me salvation is free
Cause the Savior paid the price upon Calvary's tree, tree
It was once for all we must hear the call
It was even for a sinner by the name of Saul, Saul
In the heart of Simon was he really lyin'
Knowing profit was a part of his plan
Its the same today there's people tryin' to pay
Will they ever really understand?

Repeat Chorus

You can't buy the power with the money in hand
Jesus gave His life for the Master's plan
Not for selfish reasons, don't misunderstand
You can't buy the power and nobody can

Scriptural Reference:

"Peter answered: 'May your money perish with you, because you thought you could buy the gift of God with money!'"  Acts 8:20

Oh Father hear this prayer we offer
Oh Father hear this prayer we say (we say)
Oh Father maker of all nature
Oh Father hear our prayer today

Our God and Father in heaven
Thanks for giving us your Son
What a sacrifice it must have been
Being He was your only one

Repeat Chorus

We send our love as an offering
We worship you with each breath
Our hearts joy in your holy truth
Our lips will sing your praise

Oh Father
